The Stack Bi-Weekly #2: The BookStack Catalog's Opening Date + Other News.
Welcome back to our bi-weekly newsletter where we discuss community news and updates.
Whoa, hey! Welcome back to another issue of The Stack Bi-Weekly — BookStack’s bi-weekly newsletter covering news and updates from our community. It is fantastic to have you here, and boy do we got some things to talk about.
But before we bounce over to our headlines: Have news for us to cover here? Or perhaps a sale or event? Please send me a message and I can get it included in the next issue!
The BookStack Catalog will be Opening on April 20th!
I’ve been talking about it pretty much before I even started this publication. However, The BookStack Catalog is a huge project, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it. So later this month, on April 20th, it’s finally going to be opening up.
Use it to discover your next read, or perhaps your new favorite author. And at the time of this writing, we’ve already gotten seven authors on board to be listed!
Now please note, a project of this scale means there’s going to be things which will need tweaks and fixes— even after the Catalog opens. So I will be working on a feedback form for you all to suggest changes and updates to the catalog.
And if you’re interested in getting a book listed in our catalog, or would like to learn more about it, please click the button below.

Double Text Media is now Accepting Submissions for their first poetry Anthology!

“What does it mean to live through “the end of the world”? How do you find beauty in the wasteland? Where is the emotional nuance in a zombie contagion? What did the dystopian novels get wrong? What will poetry be like after the singularity? Can utopia exist in the midst of disaster?
These are a few of the questions that interest us.
Double Text Media is seeking to queer the apocalypse. We’re interested in all poetic forms and the gamut of styles. Apocalypse is big; there is room for the whole spectrum of experience. Bring us your climate angst, your meditations on robot overlords, your collapse surrender, your sawed-off shotguns, your visions of a new world.”

Sound interesting? Poets will have until May 5th to submit their work for this sure-to-be enthralling collection. There are some guidelines to keep in mind for this, but you can find those by heading to their website.
Looks like we made it through all of our stories for this week. So yeah, wow. Thank you for reading this far. It honestly means a lot to me. Doing this is so fun, and I hope it’ll bring a lot of awareness to what’s happening in our community.
So if you do have any stories for me to share in an upcoming issue, please let me know. If it’s something that can’t wait until the next issue, let me know and we can do a mini-news post to accommodate.
Thank you once again for being here and reading all the way through! If you liked this, subscribe to BookStack for more newsletter updates in the future!
Congrats!!! 🎊
Great updates!! Excited for BookStack.
