We want to highlight YOUR voices during Disability Pride Month!

Throughout this past month, to the best of my ability, I have been working hard to highlight as many Queer voices as possible. And now, as we near the end of Pride Month, I’d like to turn your attention to another month of Pride — one that often gets overlooked.
That’s right, next month is Disability Pride Month, and I want to make it feel just as special as LGBTQ+ Pride Month! After all, Disabled people often suffer the worse when it comes to discrimination, whether it be via structural infrastructure, lack of legislative representation and goodwill, or due to people simply not understanding what it truly means to be Disabled.
But only together can we make this month feel as important as it should, which is why I want to highlight your voices. Here’s how:
Author Spotlight Focus Changes
Throughout July, we’ll be gearing ourselves towards highlighting disabled writers throughout the month. Our posting schedule will remain largely the same, with new spotlights coming out every Monday at around 9:30am PT. For those who have a spot in our queue, but aren’t disabled, sorry about the long wait to be featured, this is very important to me though.
We’ll also be highlighting disabled authors via our Mini Spotlights, which usually get posted about twice a week.
Now, while there isn’t any guaruntee your spotlight will be highlighted during Disability Pride Month itself, please feel free to sign up anyway. Mini-Spotlights do cover more folks a week, so there’s a higher chance of being featured there. To sign up for either one, please click the buttons below.
Featured Guest Submissions
Essentially the headline of this post. We’re looking to feature writing from Disabled writers during Disability Pride Month. If you are part of this demographic, and would like to submit something, here’s what we’re looking for:
Essays which highlight disabled writing culture and history, whether that’s through the lens of the book industry, or just generally speaking.
Poems and Short Stories centered around the experiences of those living with disabilities.
And Book Reviews discussing novels and writing from disabled writers.
We do not request exclusivity to your guest post, so it’s totally okay if your submission contains something posted elsewhere — just as long as its your own original work (Not plaigarized, not AI).
If you’d like to submit something to be featured for Disability Pride, please use the form linked below.

Lastly, thank you to everyone reading this post, but if I could ask one favor from you all: Please like this post and share it wherever you can, so we can get as many eyes on it as possible. I want to feature as many voices as possible, and I need your help to make it happen. That being said, I’ll see you all again soon!
