Post submissions. I haven’t heard that phrase since the days of The Poe-tato Writing Collective. While that publication may only be an archive, I highly recommend checking out all of the talented voices that have been posted there.
Recommendation aside, let’s discuss the point of this post. I’ve been wanting to open BookStack to guest posts for a little while now. And I’d been reaching out to a few of our fellow substackers to write articles. While none of that has gone into fruition yet, we now have a post submissions form!
What we’re looking for, and how to submit.
Since the main focus of BookStack is helping indie authors grow, most of our post submission types are oriented towards that. However, we offer a couple other types that may connect with the writer in you. Let’s take a look at the list.
Short Stories, Poems, and Essays: Many writers prefer to put their writing on the interwebs, and some opt for serials rather than books. Have a piece you’d want us to showcase? This is for you then. Plus, if you have any essays or articles you’ve written about writing, publishing, etc… We’d love to share it. Queer voices in writing are especially welcomed.
Book Reviews and Discussions: Posts centered around reviewing a book, or discussing one with the author.
Author Spotlights and Interviews: Posts which highlight an Author and their work, rather than just a single book.
News Share: A smaller submission type where you can send us info about your ARCs, Giveaways, New Releases, Book Sales, and more. Info submitted in this section may be grouped up in a comp post.
Click that button to below to be transported to the submission form. In it you’ll also find our guidelines for submitting posts, and any category specific guidelines as well. We hope to see your post there!
I write a lot of book reviews if you're looking for some.
