Signing Up for our Free Weekly Spotlight: Here’s the Scoop.
EDIT: Sign-ups are currently closed for the time being.
Author Spotlights are as mentioned a weekly post, and we get them out on Mondays at 12:30pm PT. Generally, these posts are split into two parts:
About the Author - Where we learn more about you and your experiences with writing.
The Author’s Links - An umbrella section encompassing your books, upcoming releases, and all your social links.
Now all you have to do in order to sign up is fill out the form and then wait. It may take several weeks up to a few months before we get started on yours. But we’ll send out an email when we’re ready.
Getting listed in the BookStack Catalog: It’s easy.
The BookStack Catalog is the reason why I made this publication in the first place— To make a dedicated space for reader’s to discover new indie reads. But of course, in order to make this what it could be, it needs Authors and Books.
But there’s a few things you need to know:
The BookStack Catalog is split into two main sections - Books and Authors. When getting your books listed for the first time, you’ll need to fill out an Author profile. This will allow readers to learn more about you and what books you’re listing.
There is a small one-time fee of $3 per book you wish to list. However, if you’d like to list five or more books at once, you’ll only have to pay $2 per book. This is not a recurring fee, so you only have to pay it once for each book you choose to list.
Not deterred by the price point? Go ahead and head over to the form then— I can't wait to add your books to the catalog!

Prohibited Content/Guidelines:
You can find all this stuff in the forms for the aforementioned Author Spotlights and Book Listings. But here it is as well, so you know what we do not allow.
Failure to comply with the following guidelines will get you blacklisted from our catalog:
No AI: in your work, book covers, or promotional images are not allowed. If we discover there is AI being used, you’ll be blacklisted and removed from the catalog. Tools which generate images are AI tools and should be avoided, like Canva’s Dream Lab or Magic Media for example.
No Discriminatory Content: We do not tolerate certain kinds of content, such as: Homophobic, Transphobic, Queerphobic, Sexist, Racist, or any other content we deem inappropriate for our Catalog or Spotlights.
To clarify, this is for stuff made solely with the purpose to be discriminatory towards others. We understand that in some stories, there may be plot points which include this behavior.
This is a cool idea, and I would like to sign up for Author Spotlight!
However, if I currently don't really have any books out, but just a lot of fiction on my Substack and website, am I still eligible?
great initiative! I've submitted
