A man of many books and much love and passion for his writing career, as well as his grandchildren. Stephen R. Bonniol put this as his quote when he joined the BookStack Catalog.
I almost died five years ago. I was given a 1% chance of survival and my kids were called to say goodbye. Then I woke up as they unplugged me from life support. Since then! I've written six books with two more on the way.
I may not have known him well, but he was one of many who had chosen to support my dream. He believed in this catalog, and for that I am ever grateful.
But that’s enough about the Catalog itself. This is a post no one should ever want to have to make, but here we are. I have received news of Stephen’s untimely passing, so it only made sense to make a post honoring him and his work.
Death may be the ending of one road— one ever corporeal journey here in this plane of life. But death is never the end of one’s legacy, or where ever their spirit goes to next.
, who was the one who gave me the news, knew Stephen since childhood, and wanted me to share some things here:He has a Facebook presence. He worked hard on accepting people and situations. His kids book was distributed to hospitals about doing all you can with what you are faced with. He almost died a few years back and it changed him from an old "stoner" to someone who "brightened the corner where [he] was"
Andrea is also able to get more in-depth with her feelings and experiences, having known him for so long. And she made a post earlier detailing exactly that. Please read it if you have time to do so.
If you’d like to take a moment to look at Stephen’s books, and learn a little bit about the stories he has told, please click here. And Stephen, may you rest as you prefer, and remain never forgotten— in the hearts of those dear to you, as well as in the pages of your writing. Thanks for everything.
Hazel, this is lovely and I am going to post it in my public Facebook folder where over 1700 pictures have now been shared
